Zempt 0.3

Woo, this rocks. They’ve added proxy support to Zempt:http://www.zempt.com in version 0.3 (I had to download an even newer version to make it work with my proxy) So I can now post without having to faff around with my browser. Which is nice. Seems pretty nice so far.

l33t haxxor

Some scummy little brazilian kid hacked the forum on one of my sites today. Wasn’t much point to it, and I reinstated it pretty quickly and easily. It will be even easier in future, now that I’ve backed up the database. Annoying, anyway. Some people obviously don’t have anything better to do with their time.… Read More »

Googled baby

Yeah baby, yeah. You know when you’ve been “Googled”:http://www.google.com/search?q=joe+wrigley&btnI=I%27m%20Feeling%20Lucky Number 1, baby. Not some name-stealer in the Essex police. Ha!

Driving me slowly mad

I’m a bit scared. The last time I drove a car on the road was in April 1998. That’s over 5 years ago. On 12th July I have to drive one of these: !http://www.ford-van.com/images/lwb-transit.jpg! from Winchester to Nottingham to Reading to Winchester. In light of this fact, plus the fact that I’ve got to do… Read More »

Free, free as a bird

Right, then. I don’t post here very often, because I don’t have a lot to say. That’s what blogging is about though, really. Millions of people spewing rubbish into the ethernet (see what I did there?) and clogging up Google with their blithering. So, I decided this morning to try a bit of a kind… Read More »

Back to the grind

*sigh* I have had a nice week’s holiday, and now I’m back at work. I don’t want to be. Only 19 more days here at IBM. How did that happen? We had a nice ride down to Devon on Friday afternoon, it was chucking it down for the first half hour or so, but as… Read More »

Multi-cultural, innit

We had a nice evening last night. Went to our first GUI Test team meal. Hayfa did us a Malaysian meal. Vegetable curry, rice cakes, some nice potato fritter thingies, peanut sauce and some other yummy things. It’s the first time in ages that I’ve had a good discussion. We talked about all sorts of… Read More »

Biking again

Woo, got Storm back this morning. £229.63 IIRC, to straighten the forks, replace the rear tyre, replace a brake lever and put it through the MOT (which it passed) including labour. A bit better than £750 for the forks alone. The choke is still sticky, though. He forgot I’d asked him to look at that.… Read More »

Bikes, rain, illness and superheroes

Had a complete ‘mare last week. On top of having my bike cover stolen, my worst fears over Storm’s service were confirmed. I rode down to Chichester, and was given a complete hunk of junk of a Honda CB500 to ride back. “It’s got some petrol in it, apparently”. I took that as “it’s not… Read More »
